Corporate Social Responsibility

As a Jordanian national and multi-discipline engineering corporation, FB GROUP is committed to empower our community and specially the engineers, and dedicated to enhance the engineering environment in the kingdom since the establishment of our corporation till now and will persist, in order to build a highly competent and generation and improve their technical skills and capabilities for better employment opportunities.

Our corporate social responsibility is embodied in different segments, where our contributions are either technical, financial or by efforts:

 

1) Engineering Community Empowerment:

FB GROUP is an official training partner for Al Hussein Technical University and Al Zaytoonah University, where free training courses for the undergraduates and training opportunities for the graduates are provided.

 

2) Internship Programs:

FB GROUP offers internship programs for the Jordanian Engineering Association members, where 29 interns worked for a period of 6 – 12 months since 2012 up to date, and most of them were officially employed before the end of their internship.

 

3) Donations:

We strongly believe in our role as an engineering corporation to improve university students and fresh graduates’ technical skills and experience by providing industrial labs with the latest technology equipment compatible with the real markets, giving them confidence to fulfill employers needs and better employment opportunities.

Engineering labs Equipment:

Hussein Technical University:

  • Industrial automation, basic lab
  • Industrial automation, advanced and professional lab
  • SCADA, remote monitoring and controlling.
  • Industrial units for energy monitoring and redundancy and networking applications.
  • Industrial PV energy lab.
  • Industrial automatic weather station.

 

University of Jordan:

  • Industrial automation, basic lab
  • Industrial electrical meters lab.

Biology lab Equipment:

  • 6 Biology labs to public universities, including: Hussein Technical University, University of Jordan, Tafileh Technical University, Al Hussein Bin Talal
  • 20 labs for different public and private schools and educational centers.

4) Supporting Social and Educational Events:

  • Provide financial and technical support to universities Scientific Days.
  • Provide financial support to different social events executed by the Crown Prince Foundation and it’s initiatives.
  • Provide financial support to “Poor Student” Fund of German Jordanian University.

5) Memberships, Experience Support:

FB GROUP is a member in different boards and committees, providing its efforts and long engineering and managerial experiences to support the committees to achieve their missions and goals. Some of which are:

  • EDAMA Advocacy Committee.
  • Head of Industrial Board of the Engineering Faculty at Hussein Technical University.
  • Engineering Faculty Advisory Board at Hussein Technical University.
  • Engineering Faculty Advisory Committee at the Hashemite University.
  • Engineering Faculty Advisory Committee in Princess Sumaya University for Technology.

 

6) Environmental Responsibility:

FB GROUP aims to reduce any damaging effects on the environment by applying some daily practices, including for example:

  • Reducing amount of papers printed.
  • Reuse of one sided printed papers, if any.
  • Collecting newspapers and excess used papers and monthly delivering to the local recycling society.
  • Rationalization of energy and electricity consumption.
  • Rationalization of water usage.
  • All solar cars had been replaced with hybrid cars during the last two years.

FB GROUP confirms it’s compliance to UN Supplier Code of Conduct.

In relation to the labor / employees rights, FB GROUP is committed to secure all rights in compliance with the Jordanian Labors Law and our corporate ethics, including, but not limited to, wages on time in full, over time hours and bonuses, incentives, leaves and vacations, promotions, full social security subscription, full medical insurance, inside and outside training, travelling, gifts, etc…
