FB Group Participated in the Renewable Readiness Assessment (RRA) Jordan Multi-stakeholder workshop organized by the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), in partnership with the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (MEMR) on October 16-17, 2019 at the Grand Hyatt, Amman, Jordan.
The Speakers were : Mr. Ziad Sabra, Assistant Secretary General, Ministry of Energy and Mineral resources , Mr. Zoheir Hamedi, Regional Programmes Officer (RPO), International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) , Ms. Reem Korban, Country Support and Partnerships (CSP), IRENA , Eng. Amani Hamdan, Head of the RE & EE Studies Department, Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources , Divyam Nagpal and Samer Zawaydeh, RRA consultants.
The objectives of the meeting include the following: − Introduce the RRA process, RRA core team and the national expert group; − Discuss and further develop the findings of the RRA Background Paper and complete the RRA template for the selected service-resource pairs. In this context, the discussions conducted through break-out groups, based on stakeholder experience in each Business Line , under the guidance of the RRA core team; − Ensure continued engagement of the key national stakeholders in the implementations of the RRA process; − Engage with government, development partners, IFI’s and other relevant actors to coordinate efforts for the implementation of the RRA recommendations during the post- RRA phase.
